Update 2003-4

July 12, 2004

Hi. I never got my annual (or supposedly annual) update written last winter, so I'll write one for the past year and a half.

But, first Whats going on with you? What have you experienced? What milestones have you passed? What are your doorways? What has touched you? Id love to hear from you.

ROMANTIC PARTNER:
I met Antoinette on the internet (Yahoo Personals to be precise) in September, 2002. She lived on Maui and was thinking of coming to Santa Fe and just wanted a friend to chat. We exchanged a few e-mails over the months, but I was never convinced that shed actually come here to visit until I received an e-mail in May, 2003, saying that shed be here in a couple of days. We met and immediately hit it off. After 11 wonderful days together, she went back to Maui to get everything together to move to Santa Fe. (She had already decided to move here by the time we finally met in person.)

The 4 months between when Antoinette returned to Maui and when she finally arrived in Santa Fe to live (September 21, 2003) were frustrating, yet we survived and became closer. Since shes been here, weve had wonderful times together and also struggles working out our relationship. Now things are going really well, and were happy together.

Antoinette grew up in Hamtramck (near Detroit) and lived on Maui for 21 years before coming to Santa Fe. Shes worked in the hospitality industry since she was 19, was a concierge at the Ritz-Carlton Kapalua before moving, and has recently begun working here as a concierge at the Eldorado Hotel (one of only 3 4-diamond hotels in Santa Fe).

I'm attaching one of my favorite photos of the 2 of us (and the only one I have on my computer for now).

HOME:
I've moved and moved and moved and moved and moved and moved and moved. I dont think I missed any. I'm finally living in a place that I really like and feel at home in. Its a 1-bedroom apartment between 5 and 10 minutes from the Plaza, Antoinettes apartment, and my job. Its an old Santa Fe-style adobe home converted into 2 apartments (and a third that was the garage).

JOB:
Ive continued working at my job at Unity Santa Fe.

MY REAL WORK:
Ive made some progress toward getting my real work started here in Santa Fe, and its gone a lot slower than I imagined it would. Because I was called here spiritually, I thought that probably the way would be paved and that it would just flow. It turns out that Ive had some inner work to do before that happens. Currently I'm facilitating a Sedona Method Basic Course taught on audiotape by Hale Dwoskin and am preparing to offer other things. If youd like to stay abreast of whats going on with all of that, I invite you to join 2 e-mail groups (announcements, not discussion). Send a blank e-mail to:
HSCEvents-subscribe@yahoogroups.com for information about coaching, classes, workshops, retreats, etc.
AwakeningMinistriesNewsletter-subscribe@yahoogroups.com for information about my ministry.

SANTA FE SPIRITUAL CINEMA COMMUNITY:
I founded and am coordinator of the Santa Fe Spiritual Cinema Community, which is affiliated with Stephen Simons international network of spiritual cinema communities. We offer Spiritual Movie Nights and other events. Last September we brought Stephen here to Santa Fe for a couple of workshops. If youd like to stay abreast of whats happening with that, send a blank e-mail to:
SFSpiritualCinemaCommunity-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

AWAKENING, GROWTH, AND LEARNING EVENTS:
Ive attended a lot of classes, workshops, and other events as part of my job. Whats impacted me the most, I think, is Greg Baers Real Love (book and workshops). I recently was coordinator for his Wise Men and Wise Women Training in Santa Fe, and I'm participating in a Mens Real Love Group. I highly recommend picking up (and reading) a copy of Real Love.

HEALTH:
My health (physical and dental) has continued off-and-on to be a challenge. Not having either insurance or much money has kept me from pursuing all the help I would have liked to. I just finally got some assistance for medical care that will allow me to do what needs to be done about my prostate. Having a biopsy is, I think, the next step.

Life is wonderful for me, no matter how it may be appearing in any given moment, because I trust that everything is unfolding for the highest benefit of all beings. May we all step through the doorways that are appearing in our paths. What will appear on the other side will be magnificence.

Love and peace,
Michael Deluno (formerly Dickerson)

P.S. If youd like to read about whats going on with me regularly instead of just once every year or 2, heres how: I write journal-letters every so often and post them online and have them e-mailed to anyone who requests that. To read them, either sign up to receive them via e-mail by sending a blank e-mail to:
