Request for help

Hi. If what I have to say here isn’t of interest to you, please feel free to disregard it. I intuitively know there are some people it’s for who will be interested.

I need your help. Specifically, I need money urgently to pay rent, pay debts, get dental work done, purchase medications, get my car worked on, and invest in my work. Rather than asking for gifts, though, I want to make this a win/win opportunity for you. (That doesn’t mean that I’d turn down any gifts that are offered, though.) Before I make my proposals, here’s a little background.

In 1996-7 I stopped doing counseling, facilitating, teaching, workshops, and ministry (what had been a large part of my work for over 20 years), largely because of burn-out. I planned to return to it when I moved from Seattle to Santa Fe. In the meantime I decided to practice living by faith and took on some other kinds of work.

When I got settled here, I took a part-time job at Unity Santa Fe to help with expenses while I clarified what work was most appropriate for me to do and developed my own projects. Then I discovered that I was experiencing resistance to resuming my “real” work.

Now, as a result of my ongoing inner work and especially as a result of my recent work with Paula Langguth Ryan (http://www.artofabundance.com) through Unity Santa Fe, I'm experiencing a significant opening and transformation of my prosperity consciousness. I’ve also broken through my resistance to resuming what’s mine to do.

So, in addition to my job at Unity, I'm building other projects of my own, and I'm applying for some jobs that are available - substitute teaching in the high schools (something I’ve thought about doing since I was in high school) and movie and restaurant reviewing for the Santa Fe Reporter (something else I’ve thought about doing for quite a while).

As I said, I now have a short-term need for money. I have long-term solutions. Within a few months my income will increase significantly and, once I get the high-interest debts I’ve incurred paid off, my expenses will decrease.

Paula Ryan encouraged me strongly to ask for help. So, that’s what I'm doing now.

Here are some possible ways you can help me, if that seems to you to be in Divine Order and for the highest benefit of all, and the win/win benefits to you.

Loan
I am open and receptive to receiving immediate loans of $3000 or more. That could be one large amount from one person or smaller amounts from many people. In return I'll pay 24% interest (that’s 2% per month) and begin repayment in January. I'm willing and eager to discuss this further with anyone who feels called to consider it.

Following are the projects that I'm developing. I realize that it sounds like a lot of things, and I’ve always done a variety of kinds of work. Besides, I'll be hiring other people to help me with some of the projects.

1. Workshops, classes, and groups (both in-person and online). I'm updating and resuming some of the things I did in the past, and I'm also developing new programs. Let me know if you’d like a list of what I'm offering and developing. Pay for them now, and I'll give them to you at half price.

2. Public speaking. Would your organization like to have a speaker? Pay for it now, and I'll give it to you at half price.

3. Ministerial services. Would your church like a guest speaker on a Sunday morning? Are you getting married? Are there other ceremonies you’d like to have a minister for? Pay for them now, and I'll give them to you at half price.

4. Spiritual, relationship, and life coaching (in-person, by phone, and by email). I'm no longer doing counseling; instead I'm doing coaching for people who want to enhance the magnificence in their relationships and lives. Pay for sessions now and get all the sessions you pay for at half price. Use them either now or later.

5. Academic coaching (in-person, by phone, and by email). This is a niche that I'm not aware of anyone else filling. Do you know anyone who would like to experience more ease, serenity, and success in their academic work (from high school through graduate school)? I was exceptionally successful in school (Phi Beta Kappa, graduated cum laude, completed 2 masters degrees) and will coach others. Pay for the workshop and/or sessions now and get them for half price. Use them either now or later.

6. Audio tapes for spiritual awakening, personal growth, and healing. I'm developing a number of meditation and releasing tapes. Ask for a list of what I have planned. Purchase them now at the pre-production price: 1/3 off.

7. Voice talent and acting. Do you need a voice or an actor for a tape, video, or commercial? Purchase my time and talent now at half price. Use it either now or later.

8. Writing. Anything from ghost-writing a book to writing copy for a brochure or ad. Purchase my time and writing talent now at half the usual price. Use it either now or later.

9. Event management. Do you want to put on a workshop, lecture, concert, or other event and have someone else do the arrangements, publicity, and logistics? Hire me now at half my usual rate. Use my services either now or later.

10. Desktop publishing. Do you need a flyer for a workshop, a brochure, a business card, or some other desktop publishing project? Hire me now at half my usual rate. Use my services either now or later.

11. Newsletter production. You give me the content, and I'll create a newsletter out of it. Hire me now at half my usual rate. Use my services either now or later.

12. Internet research. Do you want someone else to take the time to find information on the internet? I specialize in spirituality, personal growth, health, and entertainment; however, I'm open to researching nearly anything. Hire me now at half my usual rate. Use my services either now or later.

13. The Personal Concierge of Santa Fe. I'm developing this with Antoinette, who has been a concierge at some of the best hotels in the country for over 10 years. Get any service that you might receive from a hotel concierge without staying at a hotel. Do you want ideas of things to do or places to eat, someone to make reservations for you, directions, someone to pick up your dry cleaning, etc.? Hire us now for half our usual rates. 14. Spirited Tours. We’ll be developing tours, first locally in northern NM, then later to other places. For groups, we’ll develop personalized tours. Purchase a tour now for half our usual rates. Actually take the tour when it’s ready.

15. Spirit Video and DVD. Do you think Netflix is a good idea – paying a monthly fee to rent as many DVDs as you’d like? Spirit Video and DVD will do the same, except that we’ll focus on spiritual cinema and spiritual and personal growth programs. Purchase a membership now for half price. Use it as soon as we’re ready to go.

3. Home and pet sitting. Do you have a home or a home and pets that you’d like to have a very experienced, professional person care for? I spent several years doing home and pet sitting nearly full time.

4. Whatever else you think of that I can do. I'm open to anything that I’d be good at doing.
