Request for help follow-up

Hi. I want to follow up with you regarding the message I posted a couple of weeks ago. As always, if what I have to say isn’t of interest to you, please feel free to disregard it.

I'll warn you in advance that this is long. Much has been rising into awareness.

I’d like to begin by expressing my heartfelt and great appreciation for those of you who have helped me in some way – with ideas, with a kind word, with your appreciation for the risk I took in asking for help, with a kind thought, with a prayer, with a loan, or in any other way. I have faith that those of you who actually spoke with me or emailed me were only the tip of the iceburg of those who contributed some kindness in your hearts.

By the way (here comes a digression), do you know about the research on the beneficial effects of kindness to the person who is being kind? They’ve discovered that the level of serotonin in the body increases significantly when people perform an act of kindness. Serotonin, in case you don’t know, is a chemical in the body and a neurotransmitter that is responsible for a feeling of well-being. Do you also know that research shows that people who observe acts of kindness are also benefited? Their serotonin levels rise, too. So, just by reading about the kindness people have shown me, you are receiving some benefit in your body’s chemistry and probably also in your mental and emotional states. (Now returning from the digression…)

I’d also like to express appreciation to anyone who had any kind of resistance to what I wrote. I know that everything works for the best, no matter how it may appear to the ego. Somehow, your resistance benefited both of us, whether we recognize how that is or not. Alan Cohen sent out a story a couple of Thanksgivings ago about a Zen monk who responded to everything that happened with, “Thank you for everything. I have no complaints whatsoever.” I feel tremendously inspired by that. So, in reply to any resistance to what I wrote before, or to what I am writing now, I say, thank you for everything. I have no complaints whatsoever. (If you’d like me to send you a copy of Alan’s story, let me know, and I will.)

Before I go on with my update about my request for help, I want to change the focus and follow an inspiration I’ve had. I want to offer you help – not something you’d pay for in any way. I just want to freely contribute to any of you who requests it. Can I pray for you? Can I do some kind of task that will make a difference to you? Do you need help moving? (That’s one I have a lot of experience with.) Do you need money? (This one is a real leap of faith for me, and I choose to have the faith that I'll gain by helping other people who need money as much as or more than I do.) I'm very sincere about this. Please let me know if there’s some way I can help you.

Back to my update … Here’s some of the progress I’ve made in the past couple of weeks:

I'm coming to understand that asking for help isn’t what I used to think it was – all the things that made it difficult for me. I'm not going to list those because I don’t want to bring more of it into my life by focusing on them. What I am beginning to realize is that asking for help is both an expression of faith and giving you a gift. Ask if you’d like me to expand on that. Thus, I really have no reason to fear it.

As I’ve gotten more deeply into the Abraham-Hicks material that I’ve been working with and into the book Ask and It Is Given that I’ve been reading, my sense of well-being, happiness, health, prosperity, and general abundance is continuing to increase. Several times a day I imagine and experience myself in the flow of well-being and abundance, and I intentionally allow that to manifest in my consciousness – which, I have faith, is a precursor to it manifesting in my life.

I'm also reading Lenedra Carroll’s The Architecture of All Abundance and am not only finding it inspiring, but also very practical. I’ve gotten several great ideas from it already in about a third of the book. I'll invite you to join me in one of them below. Other of the ideas will be reflected in some of what I say. (She’s the singer Jewel’s mother, in case you don’t know that.)

I'm also reading Power vs. Force by David R. Hawkins (yes, I'm nearly always reading several books at a time). From that I’ve been inspired to muscle test nearly everything for its truth, value, and appropriateness for me. I’ve had some surprises, and I’ve confirmed many things that I already knew. A few of the changes in this message from my last message are the result of my testing things, though.

I had another appointment with my doctor. He had me take yet another blood test to see how my PSA is doing. Because it was down significantly from last time, he confirmed that I don’t seem to have cancer. He wants me to come back in 6 months, which I consider a good sign. The medication he prescribed seems to be working (and muscle tests as valuable for me).

I’ve made progress on planning my real work projects.

I’ve received the inspiration that part of my real work is to assist others with prosperity and abundance and that I'm being prepared to do that effectively from a ground of being of having experienced a personal transformation.

I'm getting ready to apply to teach classes through several different organizations – both online and in Santa Fe and Albuquerque.

I applied for the job as movie reviewer for the Santa Fe Reporter. I apparently didn’t get it. There’s someone new reviewing movies, and they didn’t call me for an interview. I'm surprised, and I guess I wasn’t supposed to have that job.

I’ve completed the course to become a substitute teacher in the Santa Fe schools, and I'm nearly finished with the application.

I went to a casting call for a TNT movie, “Into the West” (being produced, but not directed, by Stephen Spielberg). The photographer who took my picture liked me and said they should find a role for me as a townsperson or shopkeeper. We’ll see if the casting director agrees. They’re shooting a 3-part miniseries from January 10 through May 22 somewhere near Santa Fe.

Partly as a result of that experience and talking with some of the other people who were there and who had been in movies, I'm inspired to go ahead and get an agent, get my headshots done, get my resume together, and go for it. I don’t have much to lose, and it’s been a long-time dream of mine. The people who have agents didn’t have to stand in line waiting, like I did (and like hundreds of others did). And more and more movies are being produced in New Mexico.

I followed up on a job that was available as a concierge with Las Campanas. They had just filled it when I finally got to talk with the HR person.

I resigned from Unity Santa Fe. That was a big surprise for a lot of people, and it’s been coming for a long time. On 10/28 I told Paula Ryan that I’d like to resign by 11/28 and actually did shortly after that. It was only a 25-hours per week job with no benefits, and it wasn’t working for my prosperity. I either need a full-time job with benefits or else several flexible part-time jobs.

I’ve been investigating internet affiliate programs and realizing that they are a potential goldmine for me. That means that I'll put links to various web sites in my newsletters and/or web sites. Then when people click on those links and purchase something at the web site, I’ll get paid a percentage. Many web sites have affiliate programs. A few examples are The Sedona Method, Earthlink, L.L. Bean, and Amazon.

I'm getting ready to start my own affiliate program. People who assist me to promote my work will get paid a percentage of the income. I love win-win ideas. Let me know if you’re interested.

I started to sell Entertainment 2005 books because I like them so much and thought it would be a quick and easy way to bring in some income. Unfortunately, I found out that I didn’t do it correctly, and so I had to stop selling them. I'll correct my mistakes and try it again. They have an affiliate program, too.

Someone loaned me part of the money I need, for which I'm very, very grateful.

So, here’s where things stand right now: I still need more help. I’ve paid part of the rent I have owing, but still have more to pay. I also have some overdue bills and debts, desperately need to get dental work done (I'm in pain some of every day), need to purchase the supplements that are crucial for me to take to assist my medication in enhancing my health, need to get some work done on my car, need to invest some in my work so that I can bring in more money with less expense, and would like to get a real mattress to replace the air mattress that I’ve been sleeping on (which is now deflating every night before time for me to wake up).

Here’s the idea from Lenedra Carroll that I'll invite you to join me in: She suggests a game called “12 What Else.” It’s a brainstorming, creativity-enhancing experience. The goal is to come up with 12 answers to a question. Not all of the answers need to be realistic or easy. She suggests, in fact, that at least a few of them be a little outrageous. The question I invite you to help me with is, “How can Michael quickly and effectively meet his needs in the next few weeks?” Notice that I'm not assuming that money is necessary for all of my needs. (Thank you to Paula Langguth Ryan for helping me to bring this clearly into focus.) For example, someone might have a mattress they could give me (or loan me for the time being). Just stating that inspired a couple of ideas in me. If you want to play, I encourage you to let your creativity flow and come up with 12 answers to the question and send them to me.

And, if you’d also like me to play the game with a question of yours, I’d love to support you in that way, too. I'm an excellent brainstormer.

Now I'll remind you of and modify my requests for your assistance to me (in addition to the “12 What Else” game). I’ve been inspired to request them in the reverse order that I did in my previous message. I'll also add one more, at the encouragement of someone who pointed out that I was limiting possibilities in my last message.

A. Prayer: If you feel called to do so, will you pray for me? I’d appreciate prayers for health and healing, success in my right projects, prosperity, and attracting and receiving a lot of money immediately. I’d also like to remind you that prayer works for both of us; whatever you pray for me, you’ll also be praying for yourself. You don’t have to know a lot about praying to make a contribution. Here are a few ways you can help:
Thank God in advance for manifestations. For example, “Thank You, God, that Michael is now perfectly healthy, successful in all his right endeavors, and abundantly prospered.”

Just say something like, “God (or whatever you want to call your Higher Power) is healing, prospering, and helping Michael right now.”

Imagine me in the abundant flow of happiness, health, love, and prosperity and allowing myself to experience it. Perhaps think of it being like a river washing over and around me. Do that for at least 17 consecutive seconds.

Imagine me surrounded and filled with a bright white light that is sourced by God.

Think any kind thought about me or make any kind statement about me without diminishing it, taking it back, or negating it in any way.

Imagine me perfectly healthy, succeeding fabulously, with all my needs met, and with loads of money.

B. My Services: Use my services now, purchase them in advance, or purchase them as a gift for someone else. I'll give discounts on any that you purchase in advance or as gifts. Reminders of my projects are in a P.S. at the end of this message. I'm developing publicity about each of the projects. As I complete them, I'll send them to you. If you know of anyone else who might be interested in them, please pass them along.

C. Temporary work: Hire me for a temporary, short-term, part or full-time job that you need done. I can do lots of different things.

D. Loan: I’m still open and receptive to receiving loans of any amount. In return I'll pay 24% interest (that’s 2% per month) and begin repayment in January.

E. Gift: (Here’s the new one that I was previously blocking with my limited consciousness.) I’m also open and receptive to receiving gifts of any amount. I have faith that if anyone gives me anything, they’ll be receiving value from doing that.

Thank you, everyone who chooses to contribute in any way, tangible or intangible, and thank You, God, in advance for the resources that I know are flowing to me now.

Once again, thanks for reading this. I appreciate you whether you feel called to reply or not and no matter what your response may be to what I’ve said.

And finally, I'm declaring to all of you and to God that one of my intentions for the remainder of my life is to become a source of help for people who are climbing out of some kind of hole and who are open to using spiritual methods to facilitate that. I know that my entire life has been preparing me to take on this role more fully.

May your life also be abundantly filled with happiness, health, love, inner peace, spiritual awakening, success, prosperity, and anything else that you desire.

Gratefully,
